Note from the President (NEW)
Dear friends,
Our next Club meeting will take place via Zoom on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 7 PM. Our guest speaker will be Tom Scanlan, candidate for the Board of Education in the 2022 election cycle. Tom, a retired Carroll County teacher, will give us some information on the Board of Education, share his views, and what he would like to see happen. If we care about the future of education in Carroll County, we should all be learning as much as we can about the Board of Education and who are the candidates and what are their platforms before we vote in 2022. You won’t want to miss this informative presentation – I hope you can attend.
Our Club Treasurer and Communications Director Mark Wilson was hospitalized for several days last week and thankfully, he is now at home recuperating and recovering. Mark is such a loyal supporter of Carroll County Democrats. We all appreciate the hard work he consistently has put in over the years in keeping track of our finances and putting out our weekly newsletter. We could not do this without him. Please join me in sending Mark our good wishes for his continued improvement and return to full health.
Take care everyone and stay well.
Kate Sanner, President of the CC Democratic Club

Postcards to Voters (PTV)
If you would like to get involved in getting Democrats elected but can’t see yourself doing phone-baking or door-to-door canvassing, then postcard writing may be for you. Writing postcards to voters is one of the best ways to reach out to voters around the country about their local elections or to sign up for vote by mail. There are elections going on right now (with many more to come next year) and you can be part of getting Democrats elected by writing friendly, handwritten postcards. As a volunteer postcard writer, you will provide the postcards, stamps, and time, PTV will provide what to write, thorough instructions, and addresses of voters.
To learn more about becoming an authorized writer, go to www.postcardstovoters.org.
