CARROLL COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CANVASS! (NEW)

Come join your fellow Carroll County Democrats THIS SUNDAY as we work to make sure all of our voices are heard! We will be meeting at 1:00 PM to conduct phone banking and going out knocking on doors to listen to the opinions of our fellow Dems here in Carroll County. Hope to see you there!

Location: Westminster Library

Time: 1:00PM-3:00PM, Sunday, August 25

RSVP: On the MDP website : https://secure.ngpvan.com/2YtOIiRGmEKkfvjEpFa0CQ2

or by contacting the Regional Organizing Director, Skylar Keyfauver at 240-520-8743 or skeyf…@mddems.org

HOPE TO SEE YOU SUNDAY!

Note from the President (New)

I am looking forward to our Club meetings resuming on Monday, September 9. (Note: Though meetings generally take place on the first Monday of the month, the first Monday of September is always Labor Day, so we meet on the second Monday.)

We will once again meet at Johanssons Dining House in Westminster at 6 PM for dinner and at 7 PM for our Club meeting at which we will also have a speaker.

Please save the dates of October 7 and November 4 for upcoming meetings and we will be announcing the date of our annual Holiday party in December in the coming weeks.

If you will be coming to the meeting on September 9, may I ask a favor (well, actually two)? 1) Would you invite a friend, neighbor, and/or family member to attend with you?  2) Would you please come prepared with some suggestions and ideas for the activities you would like to see the Club engage in? I’ll also be sharing some of the ideas that we will be implementing through the rest of the Club year.

If you won’t be attending the meeting on 9/9, please send me your ideas via email. I can be reached at k_sa…@msn.com.

Thank you for all you do to give Democrats a vibrant and meaningful voice in Carroll County.

Kate

An invitation from Kate

Calling all patriots! Have you heard of Postcards to Voters?

“Postcards to Voters are friendly, handwritten reminders from volunteers to targeted voters giving Democrats a winning edge in close, key races coast to coast.

What started on March 11, 2017 with sharing 5 addresses apiece to 5 volunteers on Facebook so that they could mail postcards to voters in Jon Ossoff’s race grew in one month to 1,200+ volunteers nationwide and over 51,000 postcards mailed.

Now, we consist of over 61,000+ volunteers in every state (including Alaska and Hawaii) who have written close to 4 million postcards to voters in over 162 key, close elections.

To learn how you can write individually from home, go to: https://postcardstovoters.org/volunteer/

Or you can attend a great postcard writing group that meets weekly at The Shops at Kenilworth in Towson every Thursday from 10 AM – 12 Noon. I just started attending on July 4th and plan on going frequently. (I have written PTV from home for the Midterms.). The organizer of the group, Jill, an amazing activist whom I met 2 ½ years ago, asked me to extend an invitation to all Democratic Club members to come write with them. This is a powerhouse group of postcard writers but they are also welcoming and enthusiastic. I hope you can come!
