Note from the President (NEW)
Dear friends,
I want to take this opportunity to offer my thanks to all of you who turned out for the CC Democratic Club’s Annual Picnic on Sunday, July 25th at the beautiful Landon Burns Park in Westminster. Carroll County Democrats brought so much positive energy and enthusiasm and our MD Democratic Party representatives, Democratic elected officials, and Democratic Gubernatorial and CD-01 candidates who were our speakers, helped make the picnic a great event.
Many thanks to all of you who brought donations to the Club’s Food Drive that benefitted the Little Free Pantry in Westminster. We received donations of 265 non-perishable food items that have been delivered to Rob Roys of the Coalition Against Prejudice and the Rev. Dr. Marty Kuchma, pastor of St. Paul’s UCC, who maintain and stock the pantry.
Lastly, thanks to all of you who bought tickets for the Gift Basket Raffle to raise funds for the Club’s Good Works Fund. We raised over $200 for the Fund which will allow us to give even more donations to various groups and organizations in the County that serve Carroll County residents.
In the next couple weeks, we will be sending you a survey via email that will ask your opinions on the direction you want the Club to take and where future meetings should be held. I am looking forward to your input as we plan on returning to holding our meetings in September.
Take care everyone and enjoy the remainder of the summer.
Kate Sanner, President of the CC Democratic Club

Picnic Recap (NEW)
The 2021 Carroll County Democratic Club Picnic was a GREAT success!
For pictures of the event, and the various terrific speakers, see:
As part of the event, Kate organized a wonderfully successful food drive:
* 265 items were donated for the food drive (the multi-pack items
  – like granola bars – were counted as one item).
Kate took half to Rob Roys/Coalition Against Prejudice to keep at his house as he
stocks the pantry every night and the other half to St. Paul’s UCC who will store
the rest until needed. They run the Pantry together.
We are all overwhelmed by the generosity.

Postcards to Voters (PTV)
If you would like to get involved in getting Democrats elected but can’t see yourself doing phone-baking or door-to-door canvassing, then postcard writing may be for you. Writing postcards to voters is one of the best ways to reach out to voters around the country about their local elections or to sign up for vote by mail. There are elections going on right now (with many more to come next year) and you can be part of getting Democrats elected by writing friendly, handwritten postcards. As a volunteer postcard writer, you will provide the postcards, stamps, and time, PTV will provide what to write, thorough instructions, and addresses of voters.
To learn more about becoming an authorized writer, go to www.postcardstovoters.org.
