Meet in front of the Westminster Branch Library, by the Lion from 1 to 2pm every Saturday. Please keep your signs Welcoming, Positive and FOR something (not against something, this is a message of inclusion and welcome for all)
There are no organizers for this event. It is an organic gathering meant to spread peace, love and inclusion.

MEETING MINUTES:
Carroll County Democratic Club Minutes for May 1, 2017
The club met at Johansson’s in Westminster. The meeting was
called to order at a few minutes past 7:00 by the club’s
President, Frank Rammes.
* The 2017 Maxine Wooleyhand Memorial Scholarship
was given to Ryan Koch. Ryan said he hopes to come back
to Carroll County to help the democrat party grow.
* Our guest was Dave Scott, who spoke about NATO. Some
highlights: France was one of the founding members of NATO
in 1949 thus OTAN; There are 28 members; 1949 to 2016 no
wars between NATO nations; Reasons NATO was started:*
Stability of European Nations *Soviet threat Mission:
Purpose – Safeguard Security of members Military – Under
Treaty or UN mandate Politically – Promote Democratic values
NATO Initiatives: Countering Terrorism Countering
Proliferation of weapons of mass destruction Conventional
Arms control (stemming sale of weapons to other nations)
Emerging security challenge – Cyber defensives, Energy
