EVENTS

May 10:  CCDCC Victory Dinner (UPDATED)

On Thursday, May 10th, 2018, the Carroll County Democratic Central Committee will host its annual Democratic Victory Dinner at Martin’s Westminster. Tickets are $75 per person or $70 per person for a table of eight. Students are $50/person. The evening starts at 6:30pm with a reception and hors d’oeuvres. A sit-down dinner is provided and starts about 7:15pm. There will be entertainment and inspiring words by dignitaries from across MD. This will be a ‘ticketless’ event. Checks should be made payable to the CCDCC. You can also purchase tickets on their website at www.ccdems.com. Find the “Giving” tab and click on donate.

Proceeds will be used to fund our campaign headquarters. The CCDCC has not had a headquarters for the midterm elections in the past, but they would really like to have one for the 2018 midterms!

May 17: Congressional District 1 Forum

The Congressional District 1 Forum will be Thursday, May 17th, starting at 7pm in the large meeting room of the Finksburg Library. All 4 Democratic candidates have agreed to attend:

  • Allison Galbraith

  • Michael Pullen

  • Steve Worton

The moderators will be Wayne Carter (editor of the Carroll County Times) and Charles Harrison (of the CCDCC). The event is free and open to the public. We anticipate that the Community Media Center will stream the event.

July 29: CCDemClub Picnic, 1-4pm: SAVE THE DATE! (UPDATED)

The Carroll County Democratic Club will hold its annual picnic from 1-4pm at the Lions Club Park in Union Mills, next to the Homestead. It’s at the corner of Littlestown Pike and Old Hanover Road (straight out 97).

Hamburgers and hotdogs, buns included, will be supplied by the club.

Please bring something to share:

  • if your last name starts with A-M, please bring a side dish

  • If your last name starts with N-Z, please bring a dessert

We don’t provide beer, but feel free to bring ‘em along if you wish. More information to come.

It’s always fun just getting together for a sunny Sunday.

Members are welcome, and if you’re not a member, come anyway and join up! The picnic is FREE to members, and you can always join up at the picnic!


About the Club

We work to promote Democratic ideals and candidates. We also present speakers on topics of interest to voters at our meetings. We’re based in Westminster.

To pay CCDemClub annual dues, send a check made out to “”CCDemClub” to Mark Wilson, Treasurer, 1699 King Richard Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784.

$15 for a single, $25 for a couple. You will receive a spiffy 2017-2018 club membership card in the mail! Back to our regularly-scheduled program….
