Note from the Board: Why Membership in the Club is Important
I am not much of a Zoom fan … but it was great to connect during the Clubs meeting on the 5th.  A special welcome to those whom we have not connected with in awhile.  There was a very positive discussion of club goals and I look forward to more of that.  For me, my priorities are more PR, more action and increased membership (especially young people). We can do so much more with more manpower.  And I think it is evident that PR is needed as some on the call did not even know we existed!  Also, almost 30 people had expressed interest in the Zoom meeting and gotten info on how to join in.  We only had about half that number participate.  So, please let us know how we can increase numbers and increase participation of those numbers.  I do know that the elections of last year brought many new faces into the Club.
Kudos to Kate and Mark for making the Zoom aspect painless!  Hope many of you can participate in the May Zoom meeting.
AND we look forward to an actual, not virtual, Dem Club picnic in July if covid cooperates.  Hurray!!!!
– Carol Coley, Board Member (Director)
