Meet across from the Westminster Branch Library, from 1 to 2pm every Saturday. Please keep your signs Welcoming, Positive and FOR something (not against something, this is a message of inclusion and welcome for all)

There are no organizers for this event. It is an organic gathering meant to spread peace, love and inclusion.

May 7:  CCDemClub Meeting – last of the club year!

The Carroll County Democratic Club will meet  Monday, May 7 at 7 pm at Johannson’s Restaurant in Westminster.
A number of us meet at 6 for dinner.  Everyone is welcome at the meeting, dinner, or both.
The two Commissioner candidates from District 3, Doug Mathias and Maria Warburton, are scheduled to speak.
We may also have one or two Circuit Court judge candidates.
Also scheduled is the voting, and the swearing-in of officers for the 2018-2019 club year.
Current slate of candidates for club officers:
President: Frank Rammes (incumbent)
Vice-President: Kate Sanner (new)
Treasurer: Mark Wilson (incumbent)
Secretary: Ellen Marble (incumbent)
Directors: Sharon Baker and Corynne Courpas (incumbents)
This is the final meeting of the club year. (No meetings in June, July, August.)

May 10:  CCDCC Victory Dinner

On Thursday, May 10th, 2018, the Carroll County Democratic Central Committee will host its annual Democratic Victory Dinner at Martin’s Westminster. Tickets are $75 per person or $70 per person for a table of eight. Students are $50/person. The evening starts at 6:30pm with a reception and hors d’oeuvres. A sit-down dinner is provided and starts about 7:15pm. There will be entertainment and inspiring words by dignitaries from across MD. This will be a ‘ticketless’ event. Checks should be made payable to the CCDCC. You can also purchase tickets on their website at www.ccdems.com. Find the “Giving” tab and click on donate.

If you have a business, or you’re a candidate or supporter you can purchase an advertisement in our program (see link below). Also, a donation for our Silent Auction is always greatly appreciated! Contact Anita Riley for details about these two items at dolce…@verizon.net.

Proceeds will be used to fund our campaign headquarters. The CCDCC has not had a headquarters for the midterm elections in the past, but they would really like to have one for the 2018 midterms!

May 17: Congressional District 1 Forum

The Congressional District 1 Forum will be Thursday, May 17th, starting at 7pm in the large meeting room of the Finksburg Library. All 4 Democratic candidates have agreed to attend:

  • Jesse Colvin

  • Allison Galbraith

  • Michael Pullen

  • Steve Worton

The moderators will be Wayne Carter (editor of the Carroll County Times) and Charles Harrison (of the CCDCC). The event is free and open to the public. We anticipate that the Community Media Center will stream the event.

July 29: CCDemClub Picnic, 1-4pm: SAVE THE DATE! (NEW)

The Carroll County Democratic Club will hold its annual picnic from 1-4pm at the Lions Club Park in Union Mills, next to the Homestead. Hamburgers and hotdogs, buns included, will be supplies by the club. Please bring side dishes, desserts and drinks – more information to come. It’s alw

We work to promote Democratic ideals and candidates. We also present speakers on topics of interest to voters at our meetings. We’re based in Westminster.

To pay CCDemClub annual dues, send a check made out to “”CCDemClub” to Mark Wilson, Treasurer, 1699 King Richard Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784.

$15 for a single, $25 for a couple. You will receive a spiffy 2017-2018 club membership card in the mail! Back to our regularly-scheduled program….
