Note from the President (NEW)

Dear friends,

I hope this finds you all well.

Thanks to all of you who responded to the survey to determine if members wanted the Club to hold monthly meetings via Zoom. Our Treasurer and Communications Director Mark Wilson recently sent you an email with the results that showed that there was a fair amount of support for it. Therefore, the CC Democratic Club will hold its first Virtual meeting via Zoom on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 7-8 PM. Before the meeting, you will be sent an email that will contain: 1) some guidelines about attending a Zoom meeting and 2) an agenda for the meeting. You will receive a separate email that will contain the link to the Zoom meeting (and a phone number in case you want to call in instead of using the video function.)

I have to be honest with you – I have never hosted a Zoom meeting before. I’ve attended a lot of Zoom meetings but have never had to be the one who is in charge of all the hosting functions (and there are a few). I am doing my best to learn all of them before the meeting and will get in some practice, but I ask for your patience and indulgence for that first meeting if we hit some snags. I have been to enough Zoom meetings to know that those occur no matter how experienced the host is. Hopefully, this first, shorter meeting will provide an opportunity to adjust to the new format and to see each other and get reacquainted or meet each other for the first time.

Until we can meet again safely in person, we will use this Zoom format for monthly meetings.

Take care and stay well.

Kate Sanner

President of the CC Democratic Club
