This goes along with the club’s page up on the Central Committee website, https://ccdems.com/clubs/

Note from the Vice-President

Thank you to each of you who took part in the Club’s Sign Rally on November 5th and put up campaign signs at all our Carroll County polling stations.  It was my first year to attend the Sign Rally and I was impressed with the level of organization for this big job and the commitment of all the volunteers.

Whether you volunteered at Democratic Election Headquarters, knocked on doors for candidates, made calls, or handed out candidate literature at the polls, you helped make the 2018 Midterm Elections one for the history books. The Democratic margin in the midterms is the LARGEST such margin in the history of midterm elections. Dems nationwide brought in 53.1% of the 111,151,206 votes cast (Repubs. brought in 45.2%).

Please stay involved. We need the voices of Carroll County Democrats to be amplified and the only way to do that it to stick together, continue to get our message out there, and be active community members. After our Club Holiday Party on the 13th, we will take a break from meeting in person in January and February, then will meet again the first Monday in March, April and May. We hope to see you at our future meetings and if any of you have ideas to grow and improve the Club, please contact me. ~ Kate

Patriots Resist Rallies CANCELLED Until January

We made great progress in the midterms!

Humane Society campaign

EVENTS

December 13: Carroll County Dems Holiday Party (UPDATED)

The party is at the Buttersburg Inn in Union Bridge, Thursday Dec. 13th, 2018.

Social time starts at 6:30pm, with dinner at 7pm. Always a great time!

Presented by the Carroll County Democratic Club, in association with the Carroll County Democratic Central Committee.

BYOB! Buttersburg provides tea, soda, coffee, but not alcohol.

The sign-up page is now FULL! http://ccdems.wufoo.com/forms/carroll-county-dems-holiday-party/

(45 of 45 slots taken.)
The list is now FINAL, as the Buttersburg needs the lead time to plan, order, etc.

For those who have already signed up: you can check the reservations page (also updated) at https://ccdems.com/2018-holiday-dinner-list-of-current-reservations/

to double-check your choices. It’s likely too late to make changes now, but if necessary, check with the staff at the dinner itself.

$35 per person, which includes the tip. This is the SAME as last year!

Please bring a check payable to “CCDemClub” to the event.

Cash is accepted, but NO credit cards – sorry!

Pay Mark Wilson when you arrive.

Raffle! We will be raffling off some great prizes to raise money for our GOODWORKS fund.

Raffle Tickets are 6 for $5.00. Please bring $5 (or more!) for your chance to win one of the great items!

Items to be raffled will include gift cards, wine, and other great things!

The CC Democratic Club launched its GOODWORKS Fund this year and has already made donations to The Shepherd’s Staff’s Back-To-School Program and to Carroll Food Sunday. The proceeds from the Holiday Party Raffle will be used in the coming year to give to other charities and groups that serve our community.

Some of the items for raffle are: 2 bottles of Wine with gift boxes, a spa basket, a Make Your Own Pie gift basket (with a Shiloh Pottery Pie Dish and King Arthur Flour Pie Crust Mix and jar of Pecan Pie Filling), a Gift Card Tree with gift cards to chain and local businesses), a Gift Certificate for a massage, and a Gift Certificate donated by Carroll County’s own Shiloh Pottery in Hampstead, MD.

Think of this as an opportunity to do good AND get a beautiful gift for yourself or for someone on your gift list. You will be able to use purchased tickets for the gift(s) you really want (there will be a small gift bag in front of each gift to put tickets in). Tickets are 6 for $5.00 and you can purchase as many multiples of 6 as you want. Please bring exact amount for raffle tickets as we cannot always guarantee we will have change.
