DID YOU KNOW?

• Maryland state legislature unanimously passed a new public ethics law in 2010.
• It requires all local governments to pass revised ethics ordinances.
• Financial disclosure requirements must now be at least as strict as those met by state officials.
• Carroll County is the ONLY county in Maryland that has not complied with this law to date.

Now the county commissioners are moving forward!
