CC Dem Club Meeting
October 5 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
The Club is presenting a Board of Education forum. This will be at their next meeting: Monday, October 5, 6pm at Exploration Commons.
All the candidates have accepted the invitation to participate: Cleveland Friday, Marsha Herbert, Shannon Hinkhaus, Lisa Maisano, Julie Walsh and Sharon Wilhide.
There are three open seats available.
The moderator will be Dr. Sarah Star, who has taught courses in Philosophy and Religion at Carroll Community College since 2012. In 2020, she founded the College’s Democracy Lab, a non-partisan community conversations program aimed at fostering our county’s commitment to strengthening and sustaining the American project. More recently, she has worked to bring the Maryland Student Legislature Program and the Deliberative Citizenship Fellowship experience to Carroll. She lives in Westminster with her husband and young son.
The Club urges everyone to attend and ask your own questions of the candidates!
