Carroll One Book Event

The culminating event for the Carroll One Book will be this Friday, May 20th, at 6:30 pm at the Carroll Arts Center. While ideally folks will have read the book, Just Mercy, we will be showing the film that evening, so as my daughter says, you can “read the movie.”
Following the film, we’ll have a panel discussion moderated by CCPS student board member Devanshi Mistry. The panelists will include Carroll County NAACP President Rodney Morris, someone from the juvenile justice system, a lawyer from the Maryland Innocence Project at the University of Baltimore, and a representative from the Maryland Coalition of the Antilynching Memorial Project.
