They hope to be chartered by March 1 and want to establish a strong relationship with the CCDCC. Local Politics: The big issue in the news currently is what to do with the Carroll County Career and Technology Center. Annapolis Report: Our delegation is sponsoring legislation that is purely partisan. We should pick a few bills for the committee to take a stand on and send out eblasts informing people as to what our delegation is doing—or not doing. Communications: Website: is there a report that can show how many people view the website? We need to ensure coming events are kept current. Twitter: Maryland Dems mentioned us and we gained about ten new followers. Facebook: looking for original content—as opposed to just sharing news articles. Since the election the FB page has added almost 200 ''likes''. VAN: There was discussion that moving to sending text messages rather than calling would be a better option. However, then the recipient would have the caller's phone number. Western MD PAC: The next meeting is February 21st. The meeting will focus on planning for the summit. This event is open to the public. A motion was made to sponsor a table at the summit. A table seats 8 people and costs $600. Once again, the cost of attending the summit would be split 50/50 between the CCDCC and attendee. Motion carried. We will have to come up with a new ad. LGBTQ: St. Paul's UCC sponsors ''First Fridays'' as a safe place. They've had to find a larger space for this. PFLAG is sponsoring a Valentine's Day Dance from 5-9 at St. Paul's UCC on Sunday, February 19th. Events Victory Dinner: Will take place at Martin's Westminster. Ticket prices will remain $75 or $70/pp for a table of ten. There will be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Doors open at 6:30. Taste of Arabia @ McDaniel: will be held on April 24th at 6pm in the Forum. Movie sponsorship: discussion focused on giving away tickets at the Victory dinner. Interns Zach will be meeting the Westminster High School Dem club. A junior at Winters Mill is interested in interning. Old Business Bumper Stickers: no update. Two Year Plan: It's time to come up with our two year plan. The committee is comprised of Ryan Koch, Henry Snurr, Zach Hands, Sadie Allgeier, Christian Orr, and Ian Casker. They have already met once. It was agreed that the plan needs a complete overhaul. We need a detailed action plan; a rough draft is requested by our next meeting. This should be the task of the core committee, and then broader input will be solicited. Bylaws: tabled. New Business The meeting adjourned at 9:30pm. Our next meeting will be March 9, 2017. Respectfully submitted, Dorothy Scanlan Recording Secretary, CCDCC
