Minutes of 9/18 CCDCC meeting Attendees: Corynne Courpas, Mitch Edelman, Lowell Jones, Jacki Jones, Greg Pecoraro, Frank Rammes, Neil Ridgely, Anita Riley, Don West Meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Don. Chairman's Report: It was reported that the State party is sending $300 to candidates Brienne Carter, a teacher at Winter Mills HS, sent email that some students want to get involved in local activities.. Local campaign coordinators in need of support should contact her (through Don). Treasurer's Report: Current balance is $1186 South Carroll Club reported giving $200 to each of 4 candidates: Jackie, Anita, Maria, and Dorothy Committee Report: Neil reported that the Commissioner's letter may be placed in an appendix to the report, rather than as part of its body. Discussion: Attendees discussed the report in the 9/19 CC Times that the Education Opportunity Fund 61% of the second money allotment was going to reimburse parents for mileage, and essentially meaningless documentation of travel expenses was being required by CFCC Upcoming Fundraising events: Maria reminded committee that she has a scheduled fundraiser 9/19 Anita and Dorothy have a joint fundraiser scheduled for 10/7 at Salerno's Liberty Road, 6:30 – 8:00 PM CCDCC Breakfast, 10/18: Candidates may place signs near Conference Center prior to the event. New Business: Zach is officially a committee member now and will be sworn in later. Kohn Campaign 2014 ad: draft copy presented and reviewed; Kohn would like to get photo of residents rather than stock photo. Don and Cindy will sit for the photo, since there's no time left to find other people to pose for it. The issue of charter government for CC came up and will be discussed after election. Don distributed a copy of "Role of Maryland Democratic State Central Committee Members" to attendees. Meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM by unanimous consent. Submitted by Mitch Edelman
