Carroll County Democratic Central Committee Meeting Minutes

March 20th, 2014

Monroe-Davidson,  Anita Riley, Frank Rammes, Jim Gregory,
Don West, and Dorothy Scanlon.

Meeting was held in the Large Meeting Room of the
Westminster Branch of the CCPL and was called to order by
Jackie Jones,  Chair, at 7:02 pm and opened with the Pledge
of Allegiance.  

Chair's Report
Jackie Jones reported on the State Party, including
education, House of Cards tax break, and raising minimum
wage

Secretary's Report
February's minutes were sent to CCDCC members via e-mail.  A
motion to approve minutes was made by  Neil R., 2nd  by
Frank R., vote unanimous.                                   
                                                            
                                                 

Treasurer's Report
Treasurer's report was sent out via e-mail to the members
and showed a current balance of $5,984.98.  Motion to
approve report by Frank R., 2nd by  Don W., vote unanimous.

Special Report
none

Committee Reports
Neil R. gave his Local Politics report, including the hiring
of a new research assistant for commissioner Robin Frazier
to the tune of $24,000/year, update on the PIA request for
email addresses from the BoCC, upcoming budget battles, the
Educational Slush Fund, and issues of Open Government.

There were no  Events, Fundraising, Grassroots/Outreach, or
Communications reports.



Old Business
Upcoming JJ Dinner (May  15th) was once again a topic of
conversation, including lining up advertisements for the
brochure and Silent Auction donations.  Tickets will be
$75/person (table of ten for $700.00).  Speaker(s) to be
determined.

We discussed local candidates and the upcoming candidate
forums and issues at great length.

New Business
none

Announcements
The next regular meeting for the CCDCC will be Thursday,
April 17th, 2014, starting at 7 pm, in the Large Meeting
Room of the Westminster Branch of the CCPL.
