The Carroll County Democratic Club will meet Monday, April 2 at 7 pm at Johannson’s Restaurant in Westminster. A number of us meet at 6 for dinner. Everyone is welcome at the meeting, dinner, or both.
Our speaker will be Tim Hickman, author and activist, who says:
I am a former member of the Maryland House, State Senate, Democratic State Central Committee and Democratic Party State Executive Board.
The stakes are high this year, and it’s crucial for the Democratic Party in Maryland to elect more Democrats. My wife and I are alarmed with the course of destructive politics in our country.
We wrote, How to get Elected to State & Local Office, as a “how to” manual for Democrats just starting out and it also includes tips for volunteers helping in campaigns.
We urge you and your club members to read it and I think you will agree that it can be useful to Democrats. Our goal was to fill the pages with effective tips on campaigning and pitfalls to avoid. We hope you’ll recommend, How to get Elected to State & Local Office, in your club meetings or in the club newsletter and help spread the word.
We wrote this book to help truth and integrity reassert itself after the assault on our democratic principles beginning with the Oval Office down.
Affordably priced, it’s available from Amazon on Kindle or as a paperback and from Barnes & Noble on Nook.
